You can securely link your Greenlapse and Ring accounts via the Ring website. You control which specific devices you want to allow Greenlapse to access. Once authorized, you can configure a "Zone" (backyard, garden, etc.) in Greenlapse to automatically capture images at regular intervals — no manual photos required.
Greenlapse is completely free to download, set up tracked zones and plants, receive personalized insights, and access other valuable features. Connecting to Ring devices to set up automated tracking is a paid subscription service managed through the Ring App Store priced at $2.99 per month, per device. We offer a 30-day free trial to give you a chance to find out if it is worth it to you.

Absolutely. We do NOT sell or share any of your data with third parties, and will never access your photos unless you explicitly ask us to in a support scenario. Only you can access your own data, and you can delete your data at any time.
We leverage AI to support a variety of features in the app. Your photos and information like your city / zip code may be passed to AI models to support features in the app. You can disable these AI features at any time in settings.
Data transparency is a core value of Greenlapse. We only collect what is necessary to make the app function (approximate location, photos, usage analytics). Additional information is optional to provide, but may enhance the app experience.
No - Greenlapse supports all existing Ring devices that have a camera. You can link existing doorbells, security cameras, etc., though you may want to adjust the location or viewing angle to capture your greenery.
Yes - You can manually take photos of any areas you want to track that are not covered by a camera. Greenlapse will help you line up your photos so they cover a similar area every time, so you can better understand growth. You can set up periodic notifications to remind you to take photos of your tracked zones.
No - you can set up indoor tracking too!
No - none of your data is used to train AI models; neither ours nor a third party's. Some features in the app leverage Google's AI services, but your data is not used for training their models.
